Helical Cutterhead Powermatic 100 Planer, PM 100

The Powermatic 100, PM100, is one of the most desirable vintage 12" planers out there. This is a helical cutterhead, manufactured by WGM Tool Works, to replace the stock traditional HSS steel cutters. Each head features 4 rows of cutters for a total of ~50. Each cutter, or carbide insert, is solid carbide and will out last your steel knives by a good margin. Each insert also has four cutting sides so just rotate the one side that gets dull and your are ready to plane again. The dimensions of the inserts are 15mmX15mmX2.5mm.
